Content Guidelines for Minnehimmel

This is an English translation provided for convenience. The Norwegian version (Retningslinjer for innhold) is the authoritative version; in case of any discrepancy, the Norwegian text prevails.

Minnehimmel is a place to remember people with dignity and warmth. To keep it safe for everyone, these guidelines apply to all content you submit – memorial pages, greetings, photos and text. By using the service you accept these guidelines.

Not allowed

• Hate speech, harassment or bullying of anyone – living or deceased.
• Threats, violence or encouragement of self-harm.
• Defamatory, false or misleading claims.
• Unlawful content, or content that infringes the rights of others (e.g. copyright in photos you are not permitted to use).
• Abusive, offensive or sexually explicit material.
• Impersonating another person, or creating memorial pages for a person without an appropriate connection or consent.
• Spam, advertising or content unrelated to the memorial.
• Personal data about other living persons without consent.

Private and public

• You choose whether a memorial page is public (anyone with the link can view it) or private (only you).
• A greeting can be marked private – its text is then visible only to the person who wrote it.

Reporting and moderation

• If you see content that violates these guidelines, you can report it in the app or via post@minnehimmel.no.
• We review reports and remove abusive content within 24 hours, and may exclude the users responsible.
• As a page owner you can moderate and remove greetings on your own memorial page, and block abuse.

Consequences

Violations may lead to content being removed, a memorial page being hidden, and the account being closed. Serious or unlawful matters may be reported to the relevant authorities.
